Hello from the Ruffin family
JEREMY - The guy in charge!
Jeremy was born and raised in Ennis, Texas. He graduated in 1997 and attended the University of Phoenix. Jeremy joined the US Army in 1999 and was stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was in the 4th Infantry Division. Jeremy worked for a manufacturing company for 15 years before diving full time into the Lawncare business. He is proud and happy to have that opportunity and to provide for his beloved family doing what he loves.
BROOKE - Owner and Office Manager
Brooke was born and raised in Ennis, Texas, but relocated with her father to Georgetown, Texas in 1991. Brooke attended Navarro College for a short time before pursuing other things such as modeling, writing and motherhood. After being a WAHM for many years turning her crafts and hobbies into small boutique businesses she took over as owner of Southern Lawncare. It was an easy decision knowing Jeremy’s uncle's legacy would live on after he passed away. She’s now a full time business owner, part-time crafter and cook and an ALL THE TIME wife and mom.
OUR FAMILY
LUCAS - graduated in 2016 from East View HS. He was active in sports and the church youth group and has been working since he was 14! He recently married his high school sweetheart in June 2018. And we are happy to announce they are pursuing their own Ruffin family adventures. Our first grandchild was born July 18, 2019. Mia is as perfect as can be. Our first grandson, Liam was born May 17th, 2021 and we are excited to see their family grow.
CAMERON - graduated from East View HS in 2019. He is a bright guy involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and played football, basketball, baseball and competed on the STATE archery team. He has received Academic All-District recognition. Although summer of 2016 he was diagnosed with Wolfe-Parkinson White, and had heart surgery, he is happy, healthy and back to loving life! Cameron has taken an interest in the family business and is one of our crew leaders. Feel free to grab him and say hello.
BRYCE - graduated East View HS in 2020 among the crazy COVID circumstances. He was a member of the East View Tennis Team. He was a 3 time district boys singles champion, but unfortunately didn’t get to finish his tennis career his senior year, due to school activities being canceled. He keeps us laughing all the time, and his goofiness and impressions are great. As Bryce looks ahead to life after high school, he flown the nest but has joined the family business. He is also one of our crew leaders.
GRACE - is a junior at East View High School. She is a little athlete herself and loves to play volleyball. She currently plays club volleyball. She has really found her true passion in the sport. She is also active in church, and is a part of the youth group. She is our little fighter. She has had some major hearing loss and has battled through numerous surgeries (with her final surgery in June of 2021. We hope this is her last of 8.) and just keeps smiling and moving forward in life. Watching her play volleyball and enjoy her youth is something very special to us. We look forward to our last couple of years before she’s off on her own adventures.
We felt a calling for a change of scenery and felt led to Georgetown, praying we were making the right choice. We have been blessed ever since. Even though I lived here 20+ years ago and it has grown, Georgetown still has such a down home feel. I have truly fallen in love with this place all over again. We have met some great new friends and neighbors, and love attending and volunteering at our church.
We are blessed with 4 amazing kids, a daughter-in-law and precious grand baby and grandson, and we are grateful for the wonderful opportunity to be small business owners in Texas!
